President Trump’s campaign team held a virtual “call to prayer” for President Donald Trump on Sunday as the president and First Lady Melania Trump are being treated for COVID-19.

The event, which was hosted by Lara Trump, the president’s daughter-in-law, began at 5 p.m. It included guest appearances from Pastor Paula White-Cain, Cissie Graham, Lynch, Pastor Jentezen Franklin, Pastor Ramiro Pena, and Bishop Harry Jackson.

Lara Trump thanked everyone in the U.S. and around the world who has reached out to express their support for the president and his family.

“2020 has been a difficult year for many people and we’re so honored to have you join us tonight,” Lara Trump said. “I just want to say from the bottom of my heart to everyone out there across this country, we have seen your messages … Donald Trump and our first lady are going to come through this, no problem, and it will be because of the power of prayer. We know it works.”

Shortly after the call to prayer, President Trump briefly left Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., where he is being treated for COVID-19.

The president departed the hospital in an armored SUV and remained in the vehicle as he drove past a flag-waving and cheering crowd outside the hospital.

Trump teased his surprise departure in a brief video posted to his Twitter page.

“I also think we’re going to pay a little surprise to some of the great patriots that we have out on the street,” Trump said, after praising the doctors at the facility.
