Mercedes has been taking their own sweet time in announcing the contract extension for Lewis Hamilton. The Briton and the German powerhouse have been together for the past 7 years, and it is likely that they will extend the relationship.
However, the official confirmation of the same is still due. The Mercedes twitter page is raging with lively banter around the topic.
A few days ago it had pranked its followers by releasing a tweet with the pretense of Hamilton’s contract extension. But all the tweet had was Roscoe getting into the team. With the season inching closer to its end, the fans ask only one question. When?
Even the Twitter handle tweeted earlier today, “#AnnounceRomain”. The tweet outlines the angst behind the fans’ longing to unearth the Mercedes mystery driver for 2021.

Almost all the teams have announced their drivers. Racing Point, Ferrari, McLaren, Renault, and Haas; however, the Germans have not even hinted at a probable Lewis Hamilton substitute if the Briton opts out.
Lewis Hamilton uncertain about F1 altogether
Lewis Hamilton is having the time of his life on the track. He is setting records, winning races, and establishing himself as a legend in F1.
Mercedes are going through a complete rejig. Rumors suggest that key members like Toto Wolff and Andy Cowell are looking to hang their gloves up for good.
Thus the Briton undergoes a natural loss of trust. However, does it surpass his desire to win more races in the best car on the grid?
Pundits like Jenson Button and Ralf Schumacher state that Lewis is far from retirement. What’s more, they recently suggested that the Briton might go as far as 10 championships. Although that seems a bit far-fetched, an immediate exit is unlikely.
However, none of this does anything to help the fans out of this grave of uncertainty that the Brackley-based outfit has dug for them.
To make it worse, their Twitter handle keeps shocking us. How long do you reckon the Silver Arrows are going to tease the fans?
