One of the youngsters who has made quite a remarkable impression on the minds of fans is Jannik Sinner. Fans just loved the 19-year-old Italian in the 2020 season and applauded his aggressive mindset. He definitely has the potential to defeat top quality players and thus, tennis fans are talking about him a lot.

Recently, World No. 10 and fellow countryman Matteo Berrettini praised Jannik Sinner for his phenomenal gameplay. He even claimed that Sinner exhibited maturity at a young age. He even believes that Sinner has a lot of future plans and is working accordingly.

“Jannik is doing something impressive, he has an incredible maturity,”  began Berrettini. “At his age, I didn’t think about winning even a match, let alone a tournament. It is clear that he plays with a future idea.” Berrettini even compared himself with Sinner when he was of his age. He said that he was not able to win even a single match at that age.

Sinner ended the 2020 season on a high after winning the Sofia Open 2020. What was even more brilliant was that he won the tournament after battling past Denis Shapovalov and Felix Auger-Aliassime.

Matteo Berrettini also talked about the positive mindset of Sinner. He also revealed the thing that would help him reach the top position.

“He doesn’t care about winning a point today, it shows that every shot he plays is an investment. And this is the secret to reaching the top,” concluded the 24-year-old Berrettini.

Berrettini was certainly impressed with Sinner’s attitude and performance. He even pointed out that Sinner used to look forward to winning every single point, which was peculiar at his age.

Jannik Sinner has definitely impressed fans with his consistent performances. However, he still has to travel a long journey before reaching the top position. The 19-year-old Italian will be returning back to the court at the Australian Open 2021.
