PFL’s 2021 season kicks off later this month on multiple ESPN networks, and Thursday the promotion launched its new promotional campaign.
Pro Football Hall of Famer Ray Lewis, now a PFL Athlete Advisory Board member, narrates a new TV and digital spot ahead of the April 23 season debut on ESPN2, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes.
According to a release from the promotion, the minute-long commercial from PFL Studios is meant “to rally the 550 million MMA fans around the world as they await the return of the first and only league to present the sport in a true season format.”
The “More Than a Fight” ad campaign will continue throughout the 2021 season.
“PFL’s season format is a game-changer in MMA,” Lewis stated. “Every fight means something, and it accelerates the level of intense competition.”
PFL has signed some high-profile names ahead of the 2021 season, including former UFC champions Fabricio Werdum and Anthony Pettis, former Bellator champ Rory MacDonald, and women’s boxing champion Claressa Shields. And returning champs Kayla Harrison, Lance Palmer and Natan Schulte are back to defend their titles.
